Educated to learn to play guitar

I have been involved in formal education for a long time. My parents were very invested in my education. My favorite teacher was Sister Colette. She was an amazing teacher and she was probably the most creative person I have ever known. She would require us to learn one new fact to tell her before we could leave for the day. I guess we were all hostages to education. This was her way of instilling intellectual curiosity into us or at least improves our short term memories. It’s because of her that I decided to learn to play guitar. I like to think that somehow she can hear me play, and is supportive of me especially when I play with my punk band. It makes me smile to picture her in her full nun’s habit, holding her own in the mosh pit, occasionally giving flashes of her combat boots and black nun stockings.
